Greetings from your librarian here at Overton High School. I look forward to creating a library environment that fosters a love of learning, research, and literature. Additionally, I have enhanced the library collection by adding new, exciting works of fiction and nonfiction in virtual and audible formats.

1:00- 2:00pm Creative Writing Workshops with Mrs. Marszalek's 6th period
3:00- 4:00pm Tutoring Tuesdays by appointment.

Pre-Quarantine Operation:
During the regular school year, pre-quarantine, I am available by appointment to assist students and teachers with their library information needs.
Pre-Quarantine: Hours of Operation 8:15a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. The library is usually open during all three lunch periods (A-C) when classes are not scheduled to use the library. Computer and Homework Centers are available to assist students with class assignments after school.
Other Programs which support the School Curriculum: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Explorer, Tennessee Electronic Library, & Overton's Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) Library Services Lunch Schedule Students are encouraged to visit the library during lunch to complete class assignments and utilize library resources.
Note: All students who visit the library must come with a library pass from a teacher. The library is open during all three lunch periods to assist students who need to complete class assignments and/or checkout/renew books.
A Lunch: 11:00-11:25
B Lunch: 11:30-11:55
C Lunch: 12:00-12:25
Teacher Library Passes: Teachers may send up to 2 students at a time per class period to utilize library resources for class assignments. However, if other teachers have previously reserved the library for classes, teacher passes may not be honored due to limited technology/computers.
Tips for Students: Students who complete projects at home are encouraged to email final projects to themselves, so that if their flashdrive malfunctions the Library Information Specialists can retrieve documents and print them. Students are advised to bring a copy of the project sheet and/or notes so librarians can consistently support student achievement of standards. Students who need to save documents should bring a flashdrive.
