What We Offer
Greetings from your librarian here at Overton High School. I look forward to creating a library environment that fosters a love of learning, research, and literature. Additionally, I have enhanced the library ebooks and audio collection by adding new, exciting works of fiction and nonfiction. I am available by appointment to assist students and teachers with their information needs. The Overton High School Library offers several services for our students. We are continuously looking for more ways to make the library a hub of learning and discovery. Currently students can use the library for the following:
Book Checkout
(pre-quarantine)
Books, Periodicals and Reference Loans
1. Students may borrow two books at a time for up to two week period. If books are needed for a longer period of time, students simply stop by the library to renew them. Books may be rechecked any number of times after that, as long as there is no waiting list for that book. Faculty and staff may borrow resources as well.2. Each student is requested to check out and return books in person and will be held responsible for any damaged/lost books. Fees will be charged to a borrower's name.
3. All library resources may be used in the library. Reference materials, audio-visual materials, and college/financial aid guides are for use in the library only, but may be copied.
